Research Activities

It is imperative to establish a normative basis for the scientific use of tools as well as undertake thorough tests, especially on new ways of handling and researching online archival records in the context of smaller scientific sub-projects. The results will influence all other areas of a given project, as theoretical considerations and practical implementation must eventually give credit to usability.

In order to systematically expand the ICARUS network both in participating and neighboring countries, all partners are called upon to publish the results of their project within their country. The Neighborhood Linking Programme members need to locally promote the project and persuade the archives from neighboring countries to join the network. In ENArC Italy is connected to Spain.
