The lecture will inaugurate the course in Diplomatics held by Prof. Antonella Ambrosio in the Master study of Library and Archival Science (2011). Within this course, which is part of the activities of University of Naples in the ENArC-Project, two types of digital technologies will be used: the EditMOM tool and the Rete@ccessibile moodle platform.

Daniel Jeller (ICARUS) presented and discussed in several papers regarding the state of the art. In their papers the researchers discussed new possibilities of large image collections on the web, linguistic statistics, perspectives of the semantic web, charters Paleography and the modernization of Diplomatics in general.
